Graduate Sunday and the Pentecost, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church 6/5/2022

John Miner is an up and coming musician from Boonsboro, MD. He graduated in May 2022 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance from Shepherd University. John has performed with various ensembles throughout his young career including the Shepherd brass quintet, community orchestra, jazz band, and wind ensemble. During college he was the principal trumpet in the wind ensemble and has shared the stage with nationally renowned trumpet player Kenny Rittenhouse. John also takes the opportunity to perform solo works and has a few recitals under his belt. He has performed the Haydn trumpet concerto, works by Eric Ewazen, as well as Oskar Bohmes’ trumpet concerto in recital settings. John also enjoys performing in church venues, occasionally having performances at St. Paul’s Episcopal church in Sharpsburg, MD. John was a Music Performance major, but he also teaches at Music and Arts. He also works for the Shepherd Recording Project.  As a hobby he enjoys recording ensembles and editing these projects to the best of his ability for public consumption.  He has been very active in his studies, aspiring to be the best that he can be. John has enlisted in the U.S. Army as a musician and will soon begin Basic Training.
